Studying at the Vienna Opera Academy in 2020 was a truly life-changing experience. I had a wonderful 3 weeks collaborating with fantastic artists and immersing myself in the music and text of Don Giovanni. I enjoyed the variety of classes on offer and learnt a vast amount every day, from revising my German with Götz Lachmann to working musically with Toby Purser in general rehearsals.
A highlight for me was daily repertoire coaching with Victoria Loukianetz. Her positivity and experience inspired me and I felt confident to sing at my best in the performances. I am thrilled that the Academy could happen in this difficult period for the arts industry and I hope to apply in the future.
