Sing at the VIENNA OPERA FESTIVAL 2021.

Performing COSI FAN TUTTE by W. A. Mozart and an Evening with VERDI.

The Vienna Opera Academy is different from most other summer courses. It is not just a musical program, but also a chance to learn about the music industry and help build the tools you need for a career. To get an audition for a good agent has become increasingly difficult. During the Academy you will be singing real auditions for different agencies and receive their feedback and consultation. Through the Academy we hope many of our students will find future performance opportunities in Europe and possibly participate in the Vienna Opera Festival.

The course runs all day, from 10am to 18:00, out of which 6 hours will involve active participation.  Each singer has at least one (often two) 45 minutes vocal coaching between 15:00 and 18:30 in their chosen repertoire, sometimes also with conductor and language coach. In addition there are 3-hour group  sessions on most days – which will include musical ensemble rehearsals, the staging of opera scenes, consultation sessions and masterclasses with guest artists.
